(April 29, 2011) Tri-Tech Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIT), a premier Chinese company that provides leading turn-key solutions in China for water resources, water and wastewater treatment, industrial safety and the pollution control markets, announced today that the company will attend the 2nd Beijing International Disaster Reduction and Emergency Technology & Equipment Expo at the China World Trade Center in Beijing from May 8 to May 10, 2011. The theme of this year’s expo is to “promote industrial development and contingencies for disaster prevention and relief.”
Tri-Tech will showcase its proprietary products and systems including mountain torrent monitoring and warning system platforms. Disaster relief hydration solutions with forward osmotic filtration technology provided by Tri-Tech’s American partner HTI will also be displayed.
The exhibition is co-hosted by the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, the National Disaster Reduction Committee Office, China Disaster Prevention Association and the National Disaster Reduction Center of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The goal of the conference is to promote better communications and cooperation for disaster contingency planning and to introduce international advanced disaster emergency management systems, equipment, technologies, and supplies. In addition to showcasing high-tech emergency technologies and products, the organizing committee will host various forums and seminars.
Currently, more than 200 domestic and foreign enterprises are registered for the show. The expo also has attracted support and participation of international organizations such as the UN Procurement Promotion Association, the Taipei City Fire Department, the Japan-China Economic and Trade Center and the Korean Disaster Prevention Association among others. Exhibits will showcase a variety of disaster relief equipment, disaster early warning and monitoring equipment, emergency communication command systems, disaster relief reserve materials, residential emergency products and related fields.
