(May 19, 1999) Canada network company, New Bridge (Xin Qiao) company has released their ATM network product for Three Gorges corporate network application, and so Three Gorges corporate network access platform was officially launched.

To satisfy the need for information management system, office automation system during the construction period, the real-time information production and distribution system during the work progress, and the safety monitoring system, climate and water condition system, and flood report system after the construction of Three Gorges Project, a safe, reliable, flexible and multimedia ATM/MPOA system is chosen as the backbone of Three Gorges corporate network.

At the time being, Three Gorges corporate network is set up in Yichang headquarter of China Three Gorges Corporation and the construction management centre in Three Gorges reservoir area. With optic fibre data transmission, the advanced business exchange machine and data/information exchange machine is installed to ensure 24-hour operation of information network.
