Three Gorges Project Corporation set up goals of ensuring quality and safety in the year of 2007, and to secure flood safety and put the first group of units on the right bank into production and generate electricity in the first quarter in 2007.
Last year, the water level of Three Gorges reservoir reached to 156 m, and 14 units on the left bank realized 72 hours electricity production at full load for the first time. In 2007 it is planned to complete ship lock construction in the northern line on 31 May 2007, and reopen double-line navigation of the ship locks.
