Fire trucks were providing water to villagers in central China’s Hunan province after high levels of arsenide poison were found in the Xinjiang River, although no one has been sickened, officials said Sunday.
Beijing: Fire trucks were providing water to villagers in central China after high levels of arsenide poison were found in a nearby river, although no one has been sickened, state media and local officials said Sunday. The pollution in Yueyang, a county in Hunan province, was discovered on Friday during a routine water quality check of the Xinqiang River, Xinhua said.
